The LADY RUNNERS 10 week Beginners Courses are a fantastic way of getting into running.
Beginners courses are put on three times a year with both our Cheltenham and Tewkesbury groups. Our 10 week courses are designed to help you start running in a fun and safe way. Buy the end of the 10 weeks you will be able to run 3 miles (really!).

The 10 week courses costs £3.50 a week – you are known as our ‘Red’ group (PRE BOOK and it ONLY COSTS £30). The £35 (or £30 if you pre booked) is paid in one go on week one of the course – please bring cash as we cant take cards or cheques. Once you graduate on week 10 you move into our Pink group where we will continue to help you enjoy and progress your running. You now would only need to pay £2 a week.

The other ladies
We understand it can be daunting joining a new group or taking up a new but as a large proportion of the ladies that already run with us have completed one of our beginners courses they completely understand those fears and will be friendly and welcoming and support you with extra help, advice and motivation. We all had to start running once – now its your turn.
Fitness level to start the course
While we want to be able to help the absolute beginner get into running we do ask that you are able to walk briskly for 30 mins before signing up. And you DONT NEED TO LOOSE WEIGHT before joining us – we’ll welcome you just the way you are now.
Reasons to join the course
You will be running with other ladies, making new friends and getting fitter. Not only have our Beginners Courses helped ladies start running, they have also lost weight, got fitter and made new friends. The courses offer the perfect introduction to increasing your exercise levels and making your health a higher priority. You don’t need to be fit or slim to join one of our courses – just willing to turn up each week and do your best.
